Advisors are optional to start or maintain a registered student organization (RSO).
Advisors are integral to the success of our RSOs. Faculty and staff volunteer their time and experience to organizations throughout the year, and the Office of Student Organizations and Involvement strives to provide them with the resources they need to be successful:

- Advisor Trainings: Advisor trainings are completely optional but highly recommended! We offer a variety of training sessions every semester to enhance the great work Advisors do every day. From a general “101” session to focusing on Advising Styles and Officer Transitions, we aim to support the Advisor across as many relevant topics as possible. - Advisor Listserv: Once a month, we send updates, announcements, and reminders to the Advisor community. If you would like to be on this listserv, please contact soi@fsu.edu.
